Bosu Push-Up

Want to strength your core (abs and lower back)? Want to tone your upper body (arms, chest and abs)? The Bosu Push-Up is for you! It’s a great exercise that can improve your core (and balance) and give you the upper body of your dreams!

Here’s how you do it:

  • Place the Bosu on domed-side. Get into a standard push-up position with hands holding the edges of Bosu. Contract abs and glutes. This is the starting position.
  • While contracting your abs and glutes, take 3 seconds to lower body until elbows are at 90-degree angle. Pause for 1 second.
  • Then take 1 second to raise body to the starting position. That is 1 rep.

Perform 3 sets as follows:

  • Set 1- 4 reps
  • Set 2- 3 reps
  • Set 3- 2 reps

Though women can do the standard push-up position, an alternative position is performing the exercise on bent knees with the soles of your feet facing upward.

Most importantly, remember to use proper form and technique to get the optimal exercise benefits.
